Where the hell have I been?!
You may have noticed that I’ve been away for the last few weeks..!
Those of you who follow me on twitter will know that for the initial part of this radio silence I was teaching on a workshop called “Habitable Planet”. This series of workshops is run by a group called ACCESS and funded by the Dept. Science and Technology and the National Research Foundation with the aim of encouraging more African students in to Earth System Science work and also to help provide them with critical thinking skills and encourage them to share what they learn. I’ll be writing a full post about what we got up to and more about what the workshop involved shortly.
After this Ben and I took a few days holiday to travel back to Cape Town through South Africa – a road trip from Kruger to Cape Town 🙂 We visited Swaziland, Sodwana Bay, KZN, the Wild Coast and Tsitsikamma NP. I’ll be writing several posts about where we stayed, what we ate and exactly how the trip has inspired and furthered my love of science, sightseeing and sustenance 😉
But for now I have 1000 work emails, a presentation to write and a meeting to attend! Time waits for no PhD student!
